◇The Koshin Tower is a stone monument built in 1704, which has a shape that resembles a shogi piece. The front side features reliefs of a standing image of Shomen Kongo and the three monkeys.

◇The memorial monument was erected in 1842 to worship the Three Mountains of Dewa （Mountains Yudono, Gassan, and Haguro in Yamagata Prefecture）, and the188 Kannons （deity of mercy） in the Shikoku, Saigoku, Bando, and Chichibu.

Koshin tower

Every 60 days came the "Koshin" day when people spent the night reading religious scriptures and ate a meal together. Those people in farming villages erected the tower wishing for safety and prosperity.
