Grave of Ikenaga Do-un

Ikenaga Do-un （1674-1737） lived in Edo. An excellent calligrapher, he attracted fame as a professional engraver of seals on wood and stones. His grave was originally in Asakusa but was moved here around 1927 due to the Great Kanto Earthquake. The gravestone features the afterlife names of Do-un and his wife on the front, and the deceased years on the back.
